Don't want to invest time and money into expensive record cleaning machines? We offer a record cleaning service to help you enjoy your collection in the best possible shape. Those local to us can drop their records to us by hand, or if you live further afield we recommend sending your collection in a secure flight case to ensure safe delivery.
THREE STEP PROCESS
All records cleaned by Sound Matters are subject to a three-stage cleaning process.
1: First the records are dry cleaned to remove as much loose dust as possible. This helps make the following steps more effective.
2: Records are soaked with GrooveWasher G2 record cleaning formula on a Pro-Ject vacuum record cleaning machine before having the cleaning fluid vacuumed off.
3: Your records are finished in the Degritter Ultrasonic Record cleaning machine.
WHY THREE STEPS?
The first step removes loose dust and debris avoiding making the following wet cleaning steps more difficult than necessary.
The soaking and vacuum step helps loosen up stubborn dust and dirt and also effectively removes fingerprints. This vital step makes the final ultrasonic stage more effective.
Finishing in the Degritter is the final deep clean. Ultrasonic record cleaning is highly effective at cleansing the difficult to reach microscopic groove. The Degritter is a premium ultrasonic record cleaning machine helping us achieve world class record cleaning results for your precious records.

For most records, this three step process will greatly reduce surface noise and distracting pops and clicks, helping you get back to enjoying your collection at its best.
Disclaimer: No record cleaning process will repair scratches or restore a record with groove wear. While our cleaning process is highly efficient at removing noise caused by years of dust and debris, fixing worn out or damaged discs is a miracle we simply can't perform.
